I bought Delft plates for all four of my children, dating back to 1974 and they have always been much admired. I am now ordering one for my newest granddaughter as I did for her two cousins. They are the nicest keepsakes I know of and I know they will always be treasured.

I have one of these plates which dates back 40 years and my elder brothers both have them too. They are such fantastic quality and a really nice piece to look back on. I have also purchased them for my two eldest children and I am now about to buy again for my latest addition keeping the tradition going.

If i could afford it I would recreate my whole family tree!

My Mum bought my plate for me when I was born in 1965 via the Heinz baby club. I have since bought one for my son who was born in 2004 and another for my sister in 2008 to celebrate her 40th (my Mum couldn't find them when my sister was born). She was really pleased to have one at last! I am now about to purchase another for my daughter in 2009, keeping up the tradition.

My first plate was bought from The Heinz Baby Club, saving dozens of wrappers off baby food!!! This was back in 1966/7. Since then we have bought them for our children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, we are now moving on to great granchildren. Is there going to be an award for the most family members plates in one family ?!?

Hubby wouldn't let me get them for my other children, well now I have been asked about the plate which sadly got broken many years ago (much to hubby's delight/ I was devasted) by first daughter who would like one for her own daughter so now I have the pleasure of buying one for my granddaughter

I have a plate for each of my sons, born 1969,1972 and 1983. They have always hung down in a row with the eldest at the top. Over the years, the bottom plate has been knocked from it's hook many times and bears the gluey scars of many repairs. The middle plate too shows a few chips; however, the top plate is pristine! I feel I owe replacements to the 2 youngest.
